The roadshows will provide an opportunity for residents to come and talk to a variety of different officers and external experts about issues which affecting them, help to save money and check they are receiving all the financial support they are entitled to as well as their wellbeing and health. Topics we will cover at the roadshows include:

• Stopping smoking, the health and financial benefits, with the One You service
• Reducing food waste and using up leftovers with our waste and recycling team
• Keeping your home warm, insulation and energy efficiency with Severn Wye
• Benefits, grants, emergency funding and other financial support available in South Gloucestershire
• Free activities to try in the area, tips and advice and mental health and wellbeing support.

The four events in Bradley Stoke, Kingswood, Staple Hill and Yate will coincide with Love Food, Hate Waste Awareness Week (6-12th March) and National No Smoking Day (8th March).

Further information and advice about financial support and other measures in place to help residents is on the SGC website www.southglos.gov.uk/CostofLiving
